Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Data Architect / Solution Architect with experience in Veeva CRM to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Salesforce solutions for our life sciences clients. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce platform capabilities, data modeling, integrations, and security, with a strong understanding of Veeva CRM and its role in commercial and medical operations within pharma and biotech organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design end-to-end Salesforce and Veeva CRM architecture to support business objectives in commercial, medical, and patient engagement use cases.
• Develop scalable data models, integrations, and workflows to optimize performance and compliance with life sciences regulations.
• Define best practices for data governance, security, and access controls within the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Provide technical leadership on Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud implementations in life sciences environments.

Data Management & Integration

• Design data migration strategies for transitioning from legacy CRM systems to Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud.
• Implement ETL processes, APIs, and middleware solutions for seamless integration between Salesforce, Veeva CRM, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards like HIPAA, GDPR, and 21 CFR Part 11.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to translate business needs into Salesforce solutions.
• Partner with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, and Business Analysts to implement solutions effectively.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams and junior architects.

Optimization & Innovation

• Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce, Veeva, and life sciences technology trends.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and analytics (e.g., Einstein AI, Tableau) to enhance business processes.
• Optimize system performance and user experience through continuous improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• 8+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture, solution design, and implementation.
• 3+ years of experience with Veeva CRM (including data model, security model, and integrations).
• Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Apex, Lightning, Flows, and APIs.
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Health Cloud is a plus.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and integration architecture (Mulesoft, Informatica, or similar tools).
• Knowledge of life sciences business processes, including HCP engagement, patient support, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with Salesforce Shield, data encryption, and access control policies.

Preferred

• Salesforce Application Architect, Data Architect, or Technical Architect certification.
• Veeva CRM certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Einstein AI, or Data Cloud for analytics.
• Experience working in pharma and biotech companies.
