Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's on premises and Microsoft 365 environments ensuring smooth operation, security, governance, and optimal utilization of Microsoft services and applications.
  • Excellent expertise in on-premises and cloud Microsoft administration, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
  • Microsoft Server Administration: Manage and maintain Microsoft server environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and other related applications, ensuring proper configuration, security, and user access.
  • Email and Exchange Administration: Administer Outlook and Exchange, including mailbox management, email routing, spam filtering, and troubleshooting email-related issues.
  • Azure Administration: Manage Azure resources and services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and Azure Active Directory, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security in the cloud environment.
  • Active Directory Management: Manage user accounts, security groups, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and security standards.
  • SharePoint Administration: Configure and maintain SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists and permissions, as well as monitor and optimize SharePoint performance.
  • Teams Administration: Manage Teams settings, channels, apps, and integrations, and provide support for users to collaborate effectively using Teams.
  • OneDrive Administration: Administer OneDrive for Business, including user setup, file sharing permissions, and troubleshooting sync issues.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures, data loss prevention policies, and compliance controls within the Microsoft on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Governance: Generate policies, standards, procedures, and training materials to support decision- making, best practices, and proper operation, maintenance, and administration of the company's Microsoft-based environments, applications, and tools.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve technical issues related to Microsoft products and services, providing timely support to end-users and collaborating with other IT Teams as needed.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor the health and performance of Microsoft infrastructure components, analyze system logs and performance metrics, and implement optimizations to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Patch Management: Test and apply Microsoft patches to servers, endpoints, and computerized equipment systems.
  • General Support: Perform other duties in the IT Infrastructure & Operations space as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in Microsoft server administration, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Azure administration, including Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and Azure networking.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in Microsoft environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, are a plus.
  • Experience working with GxP, SOX, GDPR and/or HIPAA systems a plus.
  • Must have Current Microsoft Certifications and Hand-on SharePoint Experience

Location

  • This position is based at our Redwood City, CA office and requires an onsite presence.

Hourly Rate

  • $65-$70/hr
